I am going back to thailand again with a visa. When I applied for it in the embassy,I did with intention of applying for a 60day visa which i would extend it for another 30days at the end of my 59days. But the thing is this time I went to embassy over a month earlier than my flight dates. When they gave my passport back,I noticed the visa length mentioned on visa stamp is mentioned 90days. But the thing is it starts from the day the visa got approved. So one month of it is the time that I ak not in thailand. So basically once i am in thailand and by the end of my 59days stay there, the 3months visa is also reached and ended. Does that mean I cannot ask for extention anymore since 90days has passed?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user initially applied for a 60-day visa, which was granted with a 90-day validity, starting from the date of approval at the embassy. They are concerned that by the time they arrive in Thailand, they will have used up part of that validity and wonder if they can still get an extension after staying for 60 days. Responses clarified that they will be stamped in for 60 days upon entry and are eligible for a further 30-day extension before their initial 60 days expire, ensuring they do not lose any days.

Also you don't have to wait until 59 days to extend. You can go 30 days before your 60 days expire and do your extension. The 30 day extension will still start after your 60 days finish. So you don't lose any days if you extend early.

if I go there 30days ahead of end of my visa, do I have to present them with the hotel reservation of 30days starting from the end of my visa date only? Or they ask me to show them proof of my current place of staying and my hotel booking until end of my visa as well, aside from those 30days extension hotel reservation?

, that depends on the office. As a rule, you don't need to show proof of staying, other than TM30 dated after your entry stamp.

There was a report about who was asked for the room key of the hotel, but it's a very rare case. This is the general information on tourism extension.

You will be stamped in for 60 days when u arrive and u can extend that for 30 more

Single Entry Tourist Visa is valid for 90 days from being issued at the embassy/consulate. That means you have three months to "use" that visa to enter Thailand to be stamped in for 60 days. That entry on SETV is eligible for a 30-day tourism extension.

In other words, as long as you enter Thailand within the validity of that visa sticker (even if you enter on the very last day on your visa sticker), you will be stamped in for 60 days and can apply for 30-day extension.
