Hi, I'm in Thailand on a single entry tourist visa. However, I need to leave the country for a few hours to sort out something important. Is it possible to get a re-entry stamp to do this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain a re-entry permit on a single entry tourist visa, which will allow you to leave Thailand temporarily and return with the same admitted until date as your current visa.

No it's more complicated than that. Wife and kids are also here on tourist visa, I'll be going away for one day alone and want to keep the visas aligned
