No problems with Single Entry Tourist Visa in KL.
We were previously in Thailand on an METV that was expiring on Aug 3.
We flew return direct KL - CM - KL (Aug 1 - 6). We submitted on August 2 and picked up the next day.
We arrived at the Embassy around 10 am and waited in line for an hour or so. The guard at the gate checked our documents and attached the photo to the application. The application says that two photos are required but he gave us back the second one. We submitted a small one with white background but saw others with a larger photo with blue back ground so either appears to be fine. He gave us numbers and let us inside. While we were waiting in the line to enter the embassy we saw a couple of people turned away right at the gate; one could have been how he was dressed and the other was most likely missing paperwork or something because she was dressed appropriately.
We spent another 45 min inside. I forgot to fill in the Passport info on my gf's visa application and the staff at the window was kind enough to allow her to complete it and then return to the window. We submitted the documents and received our receipts within a few minutes.
We arrived at around 3 pm the next day and had our passports back and were on our way within 20 min.
Upon our return to Chiang Mai, we went through the regular immigration line and were stamped in without a problem.
