I have a Non-Immigrant O-A visa, issued from my application filed in South Korea.

The visa is multiple entry.

The visa was granted 15-December-2023.

Visa must be used by 14-December-2024.

I am a USA citizen.

I am a permanent resident of South Korea.

My next trip to Thailand is scheduled for 1-December-2024.

My required Thai insurance certificate is valid until 25-December 2025.

OK.. The question. When I enter, my “visa” will be activated for one year (I assume until November 30, 2025). What about paperwork. Until now, I have had the Thai eVisa letter with the dates. If I leave in January for a trip home, what do I need to do?

Do I need to get another multi-entry stamp?

How does immigration know that my visa is valid until November 30, 2025?

How would I prove it when I re-enter the Kingdom AFTER my trip home in January?

Thank you for your help.

hi group I want to live permanently in Thailand next year with my Thai wife. I plan to go there with a non o visa based on marriage. I will have 400.000 baht in my Thai account. My problem is the required health insurance which is very expensive for me. Any possibility to avoid this? I have a friend who has lived with his Thai wife for many years and he gets his permission to stay renewed every year without health insurance - an agent take care of that.

Here is my monthly accounting bill for a company I’ve set up. The company exists for legitimate business reasons, but it also has my work permit and non-b visa attached to it. I’m a director (not employee) for the company and majority shareholder.

The ‘Salary Tax’ and ‘Social Security’ costs support 4 Thai ‘employees’ to fulfill the 4:1 Thai-Foreigner ratio for the visa/wp - can’t remember which one.

However…I will be in Thailand for a very long time - baby on the way, Thai gf (wife??), etc. I need the company, but not necessarily the employees - and as such I don’t really want to pay these taxes and SS amounts.

How can I lower or eliminate these costs, still have a visa, still have a wp, etc.?

Open to options, I’m about maybe 6 months into my first year of non-b. And also what are the implications for permanent resident status (although I know nothing about that yet).

I’m curious - I know that in theory it’s possible to naturalize in Thailand - but has anyone actually done it / know someone who has done it? Was everything as straight forward as is described on the thai governments website? Or were large amounts of tea money required? Anything worth mentioning?

Hello everyone I am new to the board. We are planning on flying into Bangkok in late July. We will be moving there permanently. What are my visa option. I was told I would need a non immigrate visa. But what if we came in on a tourist visa. What are my options?? We are thinking about buying a condo there.

Are there any visa options for Thailand that are based on investment ? Like in the form of property or government bonds? I have been interested in the elite for quite some time but my hesitancy is that it does not provide a path towards permanent residency. Thanks in advance.

Is there any moments at one stage of his life when married to a thai lady Farang living in Thailand don't have to do any 90 days report or any check-in or i don't know what else ...

and then he can just live peacefully on a farm away from city and away from any papers or it is just a utopia?

I went to Thai embassy in Hanoi to enquire about entering Thailand with marriage visa. They said as i am leaving my employment in Vietnam i cannot enter with marriage visa, only a 3 month single entry. I should then apply for the one year marriage visa once in the country. Does this differ depending on which embassy or country you apply?
