Permanent residency in Thailand, has anyone done it here successfully and was one of the 100 lucky ones per year? Very curious what are the deciding factors of the government of picking the 100 people. How to make the chance of succeeding higher?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around achieving permanent residency in Thailand, which is limited to 100 individuals per nationality each year. Factors influencing selection include the order of application submissions, prior work experience and tax contributions in Thailand, and language proficiency. There are mentions of a separate Facebook group focused on this topic, highlighting that certain criteria like speaking Thai could enhance eligibility.
It is not only 100 people per year, it is actually 100 people per Nationality each year. The 100 people per Nationally is based on who submits their application first, but I would be extremely surprised if any Western countries fulfill their annual quota.
There is a separate Facebook group for Thai citizenship and residency. They are probably a better audience for this question.
I’m pretty sure you have to have worked and paid taxes in Thailand for at least 3 years. That makes me ineligible so I lost interest in the subject and exited that FB group
