TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, individuals holding a work permit in Thailand are required to do 90-day reporting. Additionally, after three years of working and paying taxes in Thailand, you may be eligible to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) if you meet the specific requirements, including income thresholds that vary depending on your marital status.

What is it you do for a living Jo, if you don’t mind me asking? Cheers, Dan
Thanks. The reason I ask is because, for various reasons I had to leave my 20 year career recently. I’m looking to retrain at the age of 47, in a job where I can maybe work remotely in Thailand, in a few years time. So I suppose I was looking for ideas 👍🏻
It all depends on how much you made in wages each month. If you are not married to a Thai citizen then you must make a minimum of bt80,000 every month. If you are married to a Thai then it is bt40,000 a month. If you don't meet this requirement then nothing else matters.
