And when is the best time to go immigration to sort out an extension of stay based on marriage? Thanks in advance…

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the requirement to file a TM30 after staying in Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa and seeks guidance on extending their stay based on marriage to a Thai national. Community responses advise the user to visit their local immigration office promptly to file the TM30 and to ask about the specific requirements for obtaining a Non-O visa and a one-year extension based on marriage. It is also noted that most immigration offices may require a certain number of days remaining on the current visa for applying for the extension.

As told above, go to your local immigration office to get the handout for an initial in-country Non-O visa based on being married to a Thai national. And also check with them how many minimum days they accept. Most offices require you to have at least 15 days remaining with your current stamp for you to apply for an in-country visa, but some offices require you to have 21 days or more. You need to apply for your visa before that date with meeting all requirements that are immigration office specific..

Here is the general requirement for in-country Non-O spouse to a Thai, may give you a rough idea of what you may need

With your Thai Wife...Go to your local Thai immigration office ASAP and file a TM30 for your home residence...

And ask for their list of requirements for the Non O Visa as Married to Thai AND the one year extension of stay as Married.

@Nik ****
she can also register her property on the online TM30 reporting system so that it is not necessary to go in person to immigration to file the TM30.

Can I just turn up or do I have to book a time slot?

@Nik ****
, online booking doesn't seem to be available for TM30, but does for Non-O application
