An update on transferring stamps to new passport for Thai wife extensions at KORAT immigration. Wife must attend, photocopy all pages of old passport and photocopy picture page of new passport. First do new TM30, separate building. It's not possible to do TM30 with new passport online. Then normal building for transfer of stamps. ! I hope this makes sense.

I am currently in Thailand on a 60 day tourist exempt stamp which I would like to extend for 30 days, with the aim of doing an in country conversion to a Non B visa.

My question is about transferring to a new passport as the current tourist exempt stamp is in my old passport but I would like to go forward with my new passport.

Can I just go to IT square Lak Si with both passports, apply for the 30 day extension as normal and then request for the extension stamp to be done in my new passport?

I have a letter from my embassy about transferring to a new passport.

I am changing new passport tomorrow. My old passport has DTV stamp with 6 months period of date. This stamp is important and I need that stamp in my new passport. That means transfer arrival stamp.

Question: Which Immigration office can be done, re-stamp in my new passport?

Do I have to transfer the student visa into the new passport if cancelling soon?

My under 18 student will cancel the student visa, leave the country for 8 days, return on a tourist visa, stay 50 days then leave Thailand permanently. Is the hassle of transferring the visa to the new passport necessary of were going to cancel it 2 weeks later?

Hi question, I had an O-A visa effective 10/30/2024, I received a one year extension effective 10/29/2025 to 10/28/2026. The extension stamp (1 year) is contained in my US passport which I recently replaced with a new US passport effective in January 2026. I will be returning to thailand February 2026. What is the process for transferring the extension stamp to my new passport. I have possession of both passports. I know the TM30 will use the new passport info. THanks

I got a DTV on 27th Dec and the passport in my application it will expire on 15 Dec 2026. I just arrived today in thailand and i was stamped 6 months.

It is clear that i need to get a new passport before june and before leaving thailand.

- once i have the new passport do i need to go to the immigration office and ask to put a transfer or special stamp in my new passport?

- will i need to carry always both passports with me?

Transfer of visa update:

I damaged my passport with the DTV and had to make a new one. I went to immigration and transferred my current DTV stamp and the new stamp has my old passport number written on it. I was told by everyone that I had to carry both passports, but I just went through BKK passport and only handed my new passport which was accepted - I had the old one ready just in case, but he never asked to see it.
