Nakhon Pathom - transfer of extension of stay into new passport.
Arrived at opening time armed with colour copies of data page from both passports, colour copies of original visa, arrival stamp, tm6 and current extension. Also had letter from passport office and transfer of stamp form downloaded from this group's page.
Slightly alarmed to have a room full of people staring at me when I opened the door and took queue no 51.
The IOs came out at 8:45 and started calling numbers. It then it turned out that most of the people waiting were all in a group together. I was effectively no.2.
When I was called, the process took 15 mins and there was no charge. I was out just after 9:00.
Observations: The office has had a make-over with a new counter and chairs. There is now a member of staff at an 'information' counter just inside the door. Several "No tips" signs and posters of the new immigration boss.
Finally, I have seen some comments saying taking a Thai girlfriend/wife/partner or helper is an advantage. I can also state that having a REALLY cute 2 year old also helps.
