TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, while there are some cable options available, such as those provided by True Visions, many users prefer streaming services. Comments suggest that cable quality may not be satisfactory for everyone, leading to a preference for internet-based solutions like Android TVs that can access a variety of local and international programming through apps like Netflix, Hulu, and others. Additionally, some users recommend using a VPN to access American streaming services more easily.

Even if you buy cable internet the videos are most likely streamed over the cable connection. Non-streamed video services are a disappearing technology. There is no good reason to choose for non-streamed video services.

If you want a wide selection of international tv programming.. then consider an IPTV subscription.. easily streamed via a bespoke app on an Android tv or Media box πŸ‘

based on your profile, are you doing market research?

Currently I only use the internet. Choose to buy an Android TV and you will be able to watch both local and international programming via the internet on your TV

So are you paying for each individual app ? And if so how are the apps ?

@Mike *****
The applications are free on the Google Playstore. If it's an Android TV, the main apps usually already come installed.
