I’m planning to apply for the DTV this December as a self-employed person.
The idea is to run a webshop (launching in October) via a UK Ltd, while being based in Hua Hin from mid-February.
Does anyone know if a official registered company is required for the DTV application?
Or would it be enough to submit a business plan, proof of the webshop, and a signed declaration that I’m self-employed?
Thanks a lot for any insights or personal experience!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Swiss citizen intends to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand as a self-employed individual planning to operate a UK Ltd webshop. The individual seeks clarity on whether an officially registered company is mandatory for the DTV application or if alternative documentation like a business plan and proof of the webshop would suffice. Community responses suggest that while having a registered company may strengthen the application, others have successfully applied using a portfolio and necessary documents from the UK.
You need the portfolio and to have the limited company documents from company house stamped with their notarised stamp, but you have to do it out of the UK and have your accomadation sorted
