Visas just transfer from old to new passport as immigration office in Thailand. Quick and easy process.

One guy posted he applied in LA. Came to Thailand before it was issued. Entered Thailand on a Visa Exempt. DTV approved so he flew out and back in to activate it.

What "intended entry date" did you write in your DTV application? I applied on August 26th, but wrote an entry date for the end of October. Been waiting stuck on the Pending Approval stage ever since.

What made me think they MIGHT be prioritizing those application with earlier intended entry dates?

If a traveldate is mentioned, they will issue the visa as close as possibel to the departure date, in your favour.
