Is it easy to transfer your work visa?
For example if I get sponsored by company A, and then after a year apply for company B, will B have a hard time getting the work visa transferred?
I ask because so many companies ask if I am authorized to work in Thailand and if I need visa sponsorship, but only one company (I dont want to work long term in this one) is willing
TLDR : Answer Summary
Transferring a work visa in Thailand is not a straightforward process. When changing jobs from company A to company B, the existing visa and work permit are completely canceled, requiring a new application for the new position. While there is a possibility to apply for a new work permit during the next extension if your contract with the first company ends simultaneously, it is not technically a transfer. It's essential to navigate this correctly to ensure compliance with Thai immigration laws.
