Will I receive proof of residency from immigration in Thailand with a one-month hotel booking on a non-O visa?

I have a non-O visa from Belgium, valid for 90 days. I'm coming to Thailand in October. I've booked a hotel room for only one month. (After that, I want to stay with my girlfriend, but the room owner doesn't fill out a TM30 form, even though he's required to do so.) The hotel owner forwards the TM30 form to immigration. I have to report to immigration within 24 hours. Will I receive proof of residency from immigration, even though I've only booked a room for one month? I need this proof to open a Thai bank account to apply for a one-year extension at the end of the 90 days. Thanks in advance for your answers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about obtaining proof of residency from immigration in Thailand given that they have a non-O visa and will only be staying in a hotel for one month. The hotel owner will file the TM30 form, and the user needs this document to open a Thai bank account and apply for a one-year visa extension. Comments suggest that the hotel should file the TM30 online, and the user should request proof of this filing. Additionally, they may need a TM16 form for bank account purposes, and it's important to check the specific requirements of the bank regarding proof of residency.

Check carefully your chosen bank opening requirements, sometimes not only a TM30 is required but also a long term lease or yellow book.

@rudi do you know if the Belgian embassy in Bangkok still offers to provide affidavit letters to confirm your income?

Thank you. If you’re having problems with opening a bank account @rudi you can apply for the one year extension of stay with a income affidavit from your embassy if you can meet the required minimum 65K baht a month without opening a bank account.

You will need a TM30 from your first hotel to get the residence certificate from Immigration to open a bank account otherwise the funds will not have 2 months to season before you apply for your 12 month extension.

Almost certainly your hotel will file the TM30 online. Ask them for a print of their filing. Many offices will accept a screenshot of the filing although some will require the specific pdf that can be generated from it.
