TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to Thailand from the UK requires applying for a visa from the Thai embassy in London, along with obtaining a Certificate of Entry, which comes with specific requirements. The embassy's website provides updated information on visa processes and entry conditions. Potential travelers should consider delays and current restrictions, suggesting it might be preferable to wait until after Christmas for travel to avoid disappointment.
I went to Thailand in March when the U.K. was in lockdown and have just returned as Thailand is currently in lockdown. I’ll return there in New Year and recommend you do same.
You apply for a visa (or don’t and come visa exempt) from the Thai embassy in London. Either way you need a certificate of entry from them and that entails quite a few hoops to jump through. Google their website. It has all the latest entry conditions.
