TLDR : Answer Summary
To visit Thailand from the USA, a Travel Pass and a valid passport are necessary. Health insurance with a minimum coverage of $10,000 is required for travelers, covering treatment throughout their stay. It's advisable to check with the Thai Royal Embassy for specific visa requirements, as well as to research insurance providers. There are mentions of possible easing of entry requirements in the future, so staying updated is key.

From June 1st onwards, international transit/transfer (stay in the transit area) passengers must have a health insurance with minimum coverage of 10,000 USD or as prescribed by the government which covers treatment throughout the entire duration of stay in Thailand.

(The insurance policy is not applied to Thai nationals).

go to the thai embassy page and get insurance providers. It is about $50 US to get insurance for 30 days. total scam but you need it and your two vaccines shots

Is that Covid Medical or Health Medical? Or is there a single policy that covers both? Or we need 2 policies to cover both?

because these groups can give additional information, help with problems while completing forms etc. Basic information is to be found on Embassies’ websites, also because each Embassy may interpret requirements in a different way, and a FB group would be more of a one size fits all medium.

Instead of this reply, it would have been quicker and decent just to give the answer. It’s nice to be nice in case you didn’t know 🤦‍♂️

It is also nice to read posts properly. What I wanted to say is that basic information be best looked up at the source, in this case the Embassy in the country from where one wants to apply for a TP, because that will give one the best imformation. Facebook groups can offer additional help. To be nice I assume it is not your lack of reading abilities but my insufficient English.

In this case - the process is a simple matter. I filled out the forms, and had insurance within 15 - 20 minutes using the source of info I stated. Within six hours of submitting my application - I had my Thai pass.
