TLDR : Answer Summary
The query about traveling from Delhi to Pattaya highlights significant concerns regarding the current travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Multiple comments indicate that international flights to Thailand are not currently operational, and foreign nationals are largely barred from entry. Key considerations mentioned include the need for a health certificate, COVID insurance, potential wait times before travel becomes possible, and specific visa requirements for Indians, including visa on arrival.
What is the deal with catering to Indian visitors? I know that the Thai government likes having the Chinese come to Thailand, but could care less about all others even though we contribute a lot of money to their economy.
First you need to choose your visa type as you want to stay for a long time air travel will not be the same and secondly there will be lot of rules and tricky one is have a insurance covering covid amount unable to recall and a last piece brotherly advice stay home.
Bhai, I travel to Thailand frequently. I suggest you to make plans for 2021 because this year is almost gone now in lockdown. Take direct flight to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi , visa on arrival , immigration process and 20,000 Baht per person as amount to prove that you are financially stable to depend on your own during the visit , Indian passport holders get 15 days visa, visa fees is 2,000 baht per person ... need 2 passport size photos with white background and from airport you can take bus to Pattaya will cost you around 100 -120 Baht per person ... will take 1.5- 2 hrs drive ... cab will cost you 900-1000 baht... 1 baht = 2.40 INR
The Indian airspace still closed and yet no signs of resuming., You mention line id as you are keen investor with stash of cash; awaiting business opportunity! I ignore pattaya though ๐ป
Border is closed to non Thai people. No flights. It appears you have no idea of current situation. There is a pandemic. Before border was closed a requirement was that you had USD 150,000 of insurance cover of Covid Insurance.
When all the restrictions are lifted... bring as little as possible becausr you will leave with lots... lots of memories and an urge to want to return as quickly as possible
When i go to Thailand i generally stay for 30 nights...sometimes longer..
But my curcumstance is different because i have wife and children.. we not go Pattaya.. but we stay at Jomtein Beach which is more calm.. better for families.
Jomtein beach is only 15-20mins away from Pattaya central
There are no foreigners allowed into Thailand at the moment. Unless very few like Pilots Diplomatic etc. Next review May 31st but personally I think August with work permits and December with tourist visas.
You'd have to wait. But all you need is cash, it is that simple. If you have cash you find it all here. I don't even bring clothes most of the times ๐๐
