Hi all, going to start booking everything for my trip for the 28th from UK to Bangkok. Has anyone got a recommended order of what to book? Should I book flight first then move onto insurance then Thailand pass and visa etc? I’m so scared I’m going to mess it up somehow. Any advice would be great! 💚

TLDR : Answer Summary
In response to concerns about booking order for a trip to Thailand, users suggest flexibility in the sequence. Common advice includes booking flights, then insurance, followed by accommodations and the Thailand Pass. Several commenters also emphasized the importance of ensuring all documents are ready and refundable options are prioritized. Additionally, special considerations for testing and visa photo requirements were discussed.

It’s always a good time to travel 👍 I started by booking my flight ✈️ just over a month ahead plenty of time for everything then AXA insurance then the Thailand pass. 72 hours before you fly PCR test no Covid away you go. Make sure you have a @gmail.com account when you do Thailand pass and compress all files uploaded to under 5mb

When is it? Not long ago it was about to be wide open with ATK test only. In 2 days it all changed. Covid is here to stay! It will never be gone. Go travel but get jabbed before. Can't wait for something that will never happend...a covid free world.

Stuck all on my Laptop screen and Drag and Dropped to the Pass ….. and Remember to get an RT-PCR test and not just a PCR pass…… Many have turned up at the London Departure airport with an PCR pass to be asked for an RT-PCR

Hotel first as the last question you’re asked is your Quarantine Hotel details….. Got all the Thai Pass done then there was no SAVE button on the Pass., so had to go to Square one ☝️…., 🤔

I'm heading back in January and have had flights booked, cancelled and refunded many times over the past 18 months 😒 but now finally have a clearer plan. Flights booked 🙌🏽 hotel research ongoing (my faves closed during covid 😭) and asq for 1 night planned. I've used chronomics on 3 holidays since covid started and they've been fine and reasonably priced. Seems like a massive faff right now, but will be so worth it. Cannot wait. Good luck with your planning khar 🙏🏽

Emirates were offering free insurance with all flights. That's now ended. But I think Etihad offer that til 2022.....

You don't have to sort the passenger locator form out until you return - right before you return in fact.

Another quick question regarding visa - can the photo be an at home photo with white background or does it need to be a professional/photobooth one? For employment status, will they deny you if you’re unemployed? I am currently employed but will be leaving my job before entering Thailand. TIA x

Don’t forget to book your RT-PCR test and get medical recovery certificate if you’ve had Covid recently! You’ll also need to book a PCR to come back into the country!

can you recommend any PCR companies? X

@Jodie *****
I’m using a local one where I live to leave the country, you can find them all over google or recommended ones on the gov website. The test coming home I’ve used chronomics which family have used for previous holidays

for the Thailand Pass just use your screenshot of the QR codes, use JPEGS and a gmail account. Don’t use hotmail or outlook

I don't think the order in which you book really matters tbh. Just try to make sure everything is refundable/able to be changed. The flight and the ASQ. I was just like you and found the whole process a nightmare. The visa was the worst bit as I had to upload 12 documents. The Thai Pass was ok as I'm unvaxxed so they didn't have to check vaccination certificates etc. and the pass came through right away. Print everything out. You can do it! I so know that feeling though..x
