TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to Thailand requires updated paperwork which may change frequently. It's recommended to check the Thai embassy or consulate website for the latest requirements, as policies may shift until December. Travelers should wait until closer to their travel date to get the most accurate information.

Lets see if the vaccinated can actually come in with no quarantine on Nov 1st though. They love to push the date back a few days before.

Check the embassy website in your country of origin not here

I check the consulate website regularly. I'm waiting until next fall until things settle. I planned 6 months, but it's not worth the aggravation at the moment.

It would be so easy to provide a covid insurance from the government very simple payments of a fixed fee at the border for entrance it could be like $1,000 baht and just adjusted according to the actual expenses incurred problem solved.

Now we're letting insurance companies steal our money because of something which is relatively unprobable, do you even get a lower premium because you have vaccination? Realistically it should reduce the premium to 2% of the premium if you're on vaccinated right cuz those are the probabilities!

The hope is for January. Double vax, clear test and insurance. Borders open as normal.

yes i think insurance is too hefty though, always advisable to have travel insurance but cannot see a scenario where you are going to have a 4 million baht bill. Personally think make it compulsary for general insurance for all visitors in Thailand including long term visa but bring top end coverage way down.

Did read somewhere they had average cost for people found positive in Phuket sandbox was about

0 baht. Also its ridiculous being vaccinated makes no difference to premiums cant figure that one out.

Greg Bewick. I have wet dreams about such a scenario. But, yeah, the way the world is opening up it's a distinct possibility
