What is the best neighboring country for a UK passport holder to apply for a DTV while in Chiang Mai?
Hi Guys… I’m a UK Passport holder. I am currently in Chiang Mai. my tourist visa expires in a couple of weeks. I’m trying to work out which of the neighbouring countries is easiest to travel to and apply for a DTV from using the soft power option. I’m considering travel routes, ease of application process, speed, cost etc. I was going to book a 2 week stay somewhere but seems it might not be necessary as I’ve noticed some applications are processed in 3 or 4 days in some cases. I’d appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance

Jakarta is the best in SEA, you can apply from Bali. But Vietnam is also ok

If it was me I would take the cheap Air Asia flight from CNX to Hanoi and apply there. Then while it was processing do some sight seeing. Sapa, Ninh Binh etc. Might even fly to Danang for Hoi An

Be very careful. Some people wait 3 days some wait 3 weeks. Don’t have an end date in mind and once submitted just enjoy whatever country you are in🙂.
