I'm just about to fill out my visa application and have come to the part where I need to choose a health insurance. Have been browsing around and found Mister Prakan! [members only] is that something anyone can recommend?
I found a three month insurance from Allianz for 6135 thb, seems to cover everything and grant me access into the country (most important). But before I pay I would like to know if I'm on the right track here and if it will actually allow me in. Allianz is German, and it says in the form that a health insurance "issued by thai insurer" is required.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering Allianz health insurance for their visa application to Thailand but is unsure if it meets the requirement of being issued by a Thai insurer. Community responses suggest checking the insurance section of the official Thailand Pass website for compliant options and remind that the STV visa requires a minimum coverage of 3.5 million baht for COVID-19. Some users recommend policies from Mister Prakan and note the importance of understanding whether the insurance is just for entry or for broader medical protection.
Key is whether you want the insurance just for entry or for protection if you have an accident, cheap $20 policies are unlikely to cover the latter . And if they do trying to claim will be like pulling teeth
There are insurance plans linked to in the insurance section of the official Thailand Pass website tp.consular.go.th if you want to compare. There are cheaper options than the price you indicated. And of course all the plans linked on the Thailand Pass website qualify for entry.
I have health insurance with revolut that is insured upto ten million pounds medical though it doesn't mention covid cover. Can I use it? It's from Allianz.
I'm applying for a 90 days tourist visa (stv) at thaievisa.go.th. I would like to stay 6 months, but 90 days seems to be the maximum. A friend of mine told me to get a so-called "multiple entry tourist visa", and then you just cross the border once and go back, but I can't find that kind of visa anywhere. I was also told that I could just extend my visa once I'm in Thailand.
I have gotten a good offer from my Danish insurance company, and I would prefer to have such a health insurance in my native language. I have asked if it will get me into the country and they said yes, but on the Thai e-visa site it explicitly says "Health Insurance issued by thai insurer".
