Thanx for the update. We are seeing more and more thai consulates updating their website (but like all thingz thai some have not yet :/)

I'm getting the insurance anyway as I do not want any problems on arrival after a long flight. They told me the same thing in Sydney but ..... not sure they are so sure myself.
