TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking health insurance recommendations for extending their visa in Thailand for one year. It is noted that health insurance is not a requirement for their current visa extension; only the one-year OA visa requires it. Comments provide various health insurance resources and personal recommendations, suggesting to first ensure funds are in the bank for the visa extension and offering links to insurance providers and comparison sites.

I trust this man 100%. I've been watching Les for a couple of years. He is in the UK at the moment on a compassionate trip to see his sister

He has several health insurance videos on his channel if you search. I think he uses pacific cross.

I have been considering this, I am not affiliated in any way, I am in a similar position to you, looking for some health cover in a couple of months time.

I used them for travel insurance during Covid … and caught it. They paid for

10 days in the hospital with zero issues.

Get your money in your bank account first ready for your extension

The visa you currently have does not have an insurance requirement for an extension. So if you want insurance, that's a personal choice for you. Otherwise there is no need for it as far as immigration is concerned.

Only the 1 year multiple-entry OA visa that you get from your home country has an insurance requirement.
