TLDR : Answer Summary
When sponsoring a Thai lady to Australia, it's essential to demonstrate financial capability, but there is no specific amount they require. The Australian government wants to see regular savings and income deposits rather than a lump sum that could be withdrawn immediately after the application. Evidence such as bank statements, pay slips, and letters of employment is necessary to prove that you can support her during her stay. The relationship must be genuine, so additional proof like photos together and communication logs (e.g., WhatsApp messages) can strengthen the application. While the sponsorship process can be complex, seeking assistance from an agent can be beneficial.

Peter the Australian government is super strict when it comes to visas for thai people, but the more information you give them the better the chance of being approved, so don't stress about a specific figure, they just need to know it is a real relationship, and you can afford to look after her for the duration of the holiday and most of all that there are reasons (example; own a house, have children there, have a job etc etc ) that she will definitely return to thailand once the visa is approved, while the questions sound intrusive which they are, provide them with everything plus some (photos, dates, facebook msg) everything to prove it's real.

My Thai g.f also needs to show a lot of information like banks statements for past months, last employment details if unemployed at the moment, lots of photos showing togetherness, Whatsapp conversations..etc etc

It's all best using a Agent as they know what to put in your Visa application..

I didn't have all the 15,000 Aud in the bank because far more than that over 15 years in the Australian Stock market..

Im waiting to see if the Australian Embassy will accept that as evidence..

Every day i get a update about my Share Portfolio, so my agent said send me a copy of that please..

I've still got a long way to go, so wish me luck.

yes mate my partner was refused first attempt but we put a second in straight away I sent a scaithing email to my solicitor in Bangkok he did the second application for free, because the person handling it did not include half of the information I supplied the second application was approved 6 weeks after the 1st one was rejected. Don't give up there just seeing if your committed 🤣seriously.

A bit more complicated than that

You must supply evidence that you as a sponsor can support your applicant.

Pay slips. Bank statements

Letter of employment

My visa company wanted min 5000 dollars in account. Has taken 15 months but all great.

They don't look for a specific figure. They look for regular savings. They're smart enough to know a lump sum paid in the day before application will be withdrawn the day after
Right ******
They are also looking for regular income deposits

yes. Usually the partners bank account too. I haven't learnt this magical figure so if your sponsoring her trip then its enough for both of you to live for the trm of the 600 visa

they are looking to see if you have enough money to sponsor them in Australia 🦘

Im sponsoring my Thai g.f at the moment to Australia.

I've paid 6500 baht to a Immigration agent to handle all the paperwork..

Yes as her sponsoring partner you need to show 15,000 Aud in your bank account

As someone already mentioned before you must show that she has something to return to Thailand like a job, house, land, family group.

You have better have success if you just apply for a 3 month

Subclass 600 tourist stream to start with..

although I am not from Aus myself I know 2 people that have sponsored their partner, one was told by the agent doing it for him he needed a minimum of 30k savings with regular income going into his bank, the other was told 20k with regular income, both had no issues getting the visa.

think your confused with a partner visa requiring this amount. Tourist sponsorship is alot less
