1. How to support myself: I will say it’s from my savings with that 500k thb bank statement. Would it be enough to explain myself?
2. My plan after the 5 yr visa: I will use soft power Muay Thai. So what would be an appropriate and successful explanation? If I say I would like to renew the DTV or apply other visa to stay in Thailand, will it give a bad impression?
Appreciate your help🙏Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on how to present their financial situation and future plans during their visa application process. They plan to support themselves with a 500,000 THB bank statement but question if this amount is sufficient for the duration of a 5-year visa. Additionally, they want advice on how to articulate their intentions after completing their Muay Thai course and whether mentioning the renewal of a visa or initiating another soft power course would reflect positively or negatively on their application.
I’m doing the Thai Cooking class when I applied for my DTV. They didn’t ask me a question like that but then again I did Show I had $500 K in US money in my account. If you were only showing the required amount in your account that is not showing you have extra money to live off of the more money you show in an account the easier they’ll push it through. Without asking any questions.
500k isn’t enough for 5 years (these are emergency funds), so they want to know how you’ll sustain yourself here. The second question is about your plan after the soft power program ends; I believe they’re now being stricter about this, since having a 5-year visa with only 6 months of activity doesn’t make much sense.
They are not asking you what you plan to do after the 5 years are over, but what you plan to do once your current course is over. How long was the course that you submitted? 6 months? If so, they want to know what you will do after 6 months. Also, the 500K, in my understanding is meant as having emergency funds, not for daily living
You need to show that you have other income that you will be able to live off. Look on the 500k baht as an emergency fund, not for day to day spending. 500k baht is nowhere near enough to live off for the 5 years duration of the visa.
I’m assuming you submitted a 6 month or 1 year Muay Thai course , they are asking what you will do once you finish the 6 month or 1 year course.
I would say that you will plan to book another soft power course after successful completion of the first one. And explain that booking 5 years worth of soft power courses doesn’t make sense
That is how I read it too. Asking what they will do after initial course completed. First time I have seen that asked though. Will they note the response on the Immigration record?
