I am currently in the process of doing my DTV soft power through a muay thai gym.
I have been asked to explain how I will support myself in a covering letter.
I would greatly appreciate any opinions on wether the letter I have written is sufficient.
Many thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is drafting a covering letter for their DTV visa application through a muay thai gym, seeking feedback on how to explain their financial support for living in Thailand. Comments suggest emphasizing sustainable sources of income, ensuring clarity to avoid misunderstandings about employment intentions, and possibly avoiding phrases that might imply plans to work in Thailand.
I think this might be the first of many soft power DTV applications that get asked similar questions

You'll need to make sure you can survive here in Thailand and they are asking how you would achieve that. Do you have an online job? Do you have much more than 500k? If yes, show it to them.

Personally would rewrite the part where you say you are a teacher in the UK. I would just say you do Muay Thai also in the UK and going to Thailand would give you a more genuine experience.
It only takes 1 Thai person to misread what you have written, thinking you want to work in Thailand.
If you get what I mean

I would assume what they are looking for is a sustainable source of funds that you can live off covering the validity of the visa. Why would they issue a visa that is valid for 5 years if you only plan on staying 6 months?
