I applied for a DTV visa in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on September 18th. On September 19th, I received a request for additional documents. I had only submitted three pay slips. They asked for pay slips for the last six months and to highlight the corresponding payments on the bank statement for the last few months. I prepared everything and submitted it on September 19th.
On September 25th, the status changed from "Pending document analysis" to "Pending approval."
But due to a problem and confusion over the dates, I applied for a Vietnam visa until September 25th instead of October 15th. So, I had to urgently return to Thailand on September 25th.
I returned to Thailand with a 60-day tourist visa exemption. And on September 29th, I received a refusal, without giving any reason.
I submitted all the necessary documents: six months' salary, a bank statement for the last six months with a balance over 500,000 baht, and certified by the bank. A letter from my employer explaining and mentioning my agreement to work remotely, also stating that we do not work for Thai clients, as well as a sample of the last job I did. The insurance certificate valid for Thailand, and the form. TM30.
I don't see what happened. Could it be because I returned to Thailand before the process was complete?
Could anyone recommend what to do in this situation? I applied for an DTV visa through Ankara. All my documents were accepted, then I was informed that I needed to attend an interview and that I would receive a link for it. However, no link was ever sent, and in the end I received a refusal stating that I had not completed the interview. What should I do?
Hi everyone, I’d like to share my DTV refusal experience and also ask for some advice.
I applied from Korea under the Soft Power (medical treatment) category on August 11 and got rejected on August 31. I was quite confident I would get it because I’ve been receiving treatment at Ram Hospital since April 2024, right after I was diagnosed. I’ve been going at least once a month, usually spending around 4,000 baht per visit. I also submitted a 5-month bank statement along with the additional requested documents. In addition, I have insurance that covers 100% of my treatment costs, and I’ve always been reimbursed without any issues.
Anyway, it’s okay. Maybe my condition wasn’t considered serious enough, or maybe the portfolio I submitted wasn’t strong enough. Or it could just be that the Korean embassy is stricter when reviewing applications.
The attached image shows the additional documents I was asked to provide. I hope this helps.
For my next attempt, I’m considering changing the category and applying through a Muay Thai course instead. I’m also thinking of going to Bali to submit my application, but I’m worried it might be too soon to reapply after a refusal.
Has anyone here tried applying a second time in Indonesia and successfully received a DTV visa, especially under a different category like Muay Thai? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experiences or tips.
A few days ago I applied for a DTV visa as digital nomad via the thai e visa portal as the Thai government does not allow me to apply in person.
Shown proof of income along with a bank statement and portfolio
The picture didn’t meet their standards and the bank statements need to include 3 months on the business account and income proof (over at least 3 months) on the personal account. (11.20AM)
While trying to send all the documents (11.35AM) I was blocked by the fact thats I can only download 1 document at a time and once uploading, only 1 upload was allowed.
I decided to upload 1 month statement and contact them by phone to align where I could send the other documents as the thai e visa portal did not allow me to add more documents
I called the entire friday from 11 am to 5 pm about 11 times to ensure I contacted them.
Around 4 PM I got a refusal letter. Ever since I have not seen any response. Tried writing to them, no response.
Option to make an appointment at the embassy regarding visa isn’t available (anymore?)?
Does anyone have a similar experience? Or maybe a magical solution?
Hi there, im writing as anonymous cos I dont have Facebook so using my mom's account.
Just wondered if the application goes from pending document check to pending approval to approved/refused or some of you went straight to the final answer ?
Friend of my is flying back via France and just had his 60 visa refuses because last year and begins of this year he made multiple entries. He's 65 years old and has the 80k in a thai bank but insurance for him is to much. What are his options.
b) if DTV refused, entry into Thailand for normal touristic purposes possible/ normal 30 or 60 days?
Hello,
a) used the search funtion, seems no one has yet found a Massage class working for the DTV?
b) Just in case, sometimes one does small mistakes or it's just chance: In case of DTV refused by a Thai embassy: is future (say.. 2 weeks later or 4 or 6 weeks after the initial DTV application) entry into Thailand for normal touristic purposes possible? Or could there be slightly negative consequences when opting for the normal visa on arrival for EU tourist?
