TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai visa application process can vary significantly. While many applicants may experience a step-by-step journey from 'pending document check' to 'pending approval' and then to either 'approved' or 'refused', some applicants skip directly to the final decision. Factors such as the completeness of supporting documents and the workload of the consulate can influence the speed and path of the application process.

Even though the Los Angeles consulate's website said the usual processing time is about 4 weeks, I went from "pending document check" to "approved" in about 45 minutes. So you never know. Depends on how busy they are and how we'll you've put together your supporting documents.

Anonieme deelnemer Best you can do after apply is just forget about it and wait till you get email.

Always looking at the site is just making you nervous.

When you are in your home country, just do the things you always do, and when you on holiday, just enjoy your holiday.

You can not use those statements for anything, they can shift both ways, and there is no fixed time going from one to the next. (ex. first step 2 days, second step 3 weeks)
