Hi, I’m based in Bangkok and I need to do a border run either this upcoming Sunday or Monday. I was speaking with a company, but they’re not responsive and I can’t wait for them. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Bangkok seeks recommendations for a border run, emphasizing the urgency due to unresponsive companies. Community members provide various suggestions, including hiring visa agents and flying to nearby countries like Laos and Vietnam. Discussions also touch on the difficulties of traveling with a sick dog, the status of land borders, and complications due to visa history. Useful advice and personal experiences are shared, highlighting various transport options and the current challenges faced by individuals needing to navigate visa regulations.

Just head to DMK and fly to HKG. Then come back. No dealing with visa. Flights are cheap on Greater Bay.
Ingvar *******
Fly to KL, many flights, no Visa fee.

You go to Mukthahaan Laos border. You can get bus from Mochit bus station to Mukthahaan bus only 653 baht and reached Mukthahaan you get border bus only 55 baht and Laos visa 1800 baht

Quick flight to Vietnam 🇻🇳

also need to think about the visa entry requirements for where she is going, based on her nationality. Vietnam might require more forward planning compared to flights to Laos or Cambodia

Google Phu Nam Ron and see if that's still opened.

unfortunately, the Phu Nam Ron border is closed for foreigners since several years. Cambodian land borders are closed as well. So since you won't fly because of your dog, there really isn't much choice. Either use a company that gets you to Laos, which requires a 10 hour one way trip, or, take a taxi to Hua Hin and visit LIME tours. They get you to Ranong/Kawthoung by a 5 hour van ride, provide a meal and the border run across to Myanmar. It is the only border with Myanmar which foreigners can still use.

yes I am aware that that border is closed. Thank you for your help and I apologize about any miscommunication earlier.

The owners of this FB Page is Thai Visa Centre and they can assist you with Safe Entry if you’ve had too many stamps - this is for the Fly in Fly out option- extremely professional service.

Which, may be the best option for you as the Cambo border is closed and Laos by bus from BKK is 24 hours return.

Failing that check the suggestion posted here Friendly Service, I think or Google search Laos border runs.

But flying might be the best option now b/c the war-

Thank you for this advice, love. It was helpful.

All land borders into Cambodia are shut and Laos is at least a 10 hour drive so you’ll probably have to fly somewhere by yourself

i’m fine with the 10 Hour Dr. I have a dog with me that’s sick and requires my care. I would prefer to do a 10 hour border run and then have to go through the hassle of booking a flight and leaving her here. It is very difficult to find a dog sitter that can watch my dog. It’s too much of a hassle to have to fly with Her because I have to go through health certificates and I have to wait days for these things so, I’m choosing certain options based on my personal circumstances.

You will most likely need import/export documents and certificates to take your dog over a land border as well. When I moved from Cambodia to Thailand, the paperwork and approval process was slightly complicated to just get them over the border. I would also highlight, a flight out and back might be much quicker. When you pay for the fast track (VIP) immigration services, things are much easier coming back in. That way, you wouldn’t be gone too long from your dog. Also, you might have issues with border bouncers letting you bring a dog with you in their van.

maybe you should share with us the information, on what kind of visa-class you entered Thailand, or if you entered visa-exempt, then it would be good to know how many of them did you make, yet, during the previous 365-days. The experts in this group would be given a base to estimate your chances for the coming border run you are planning. If you already got a heavy stamp record, even an agency from some point on cannot get you safely across and back

I appreciate everyone’s help, but I’ve went through this before. I am just looking to do a board run. I don’t think that there’s any additional context or information that I left out to get information to a company that does that.
Nongnuch ********
@Nikki ******
well, if you have a history of two visa-exempt entries not very long ago, I reckon your chances of being allowed a third visa-exempt entry are dim. And even a "Visa-Run Company" can't influence this outcome. Actually a "Visa-Run" Company will check your passport, and if they think you won't have a chance, they don't let you book the tour. Maybe the agency you already asked and which "is not responsive", did exactly that

I do not I am fairly new to Thailand. This is why even though I appreciate you providing me with additional information it’s not something that I needed. I just simply asked if anyone can recommend a company that is all. I’m extremely busy and I don’t want to spend my time or energy, commenting back-and-forth on post about things that have no direct relevance to the specific question that I asked.

I already have a headache. I just simply want to ask for suggestions about the company if I had any further questions and I would either create a post or comment and ask for additional help. Thank you.

John StannersJohn, I don’t recall you providing any helpful information nor do I recall, asking you in particular for your advice it seems as if you just jumped on this thread to be combative. You may talk to your family members like that or your friends like that, but you will not talk to me like that. Mind your manners and your business.

Find you something safe to do.

@Nikki ******
a border run company won't take you unless they can get you back in but even they have their limits. Perhaps that is the reason for the lack of response and why the question on your prior history

thank you for commenting however, based on my history in this group, people have been extremely rude. It’s not what you say. It’s how you say it.

I was given information from two different people who had no problem entering and exiting, so I did not make it appointed to talk about all of that because I know that it’s possible I simply was asking for a company that provides this service because the recommendations that I was given, have not responded.

Unless the person that responded is the owner of a company that provides that service, it is not necessary for me to go through all of those details.

The goal was to simply know who provided those services and then once I contacted that company I would share that information with them or ask them questions.

exactly, that's what I presume. Yet some people just don't like to listen to bad news and ignore advice

I asked for recommendations, please, if you cannot assist me then there is no need to comment. I don’t understand. Prior to me asking for help, I knew that these companies existed.

We're talking about for example travel agents for heavens sake. They are everywhere in Bangkok and in other major cities. In what neighborhood are you located?

Max FredrikssonI feel like your intentions are good Max, but you’re don’t understanding what I communicated to you.

I obviously have Google. After I contacted several companies that did not respond, I created a post to ask for recommendations. You then commented and said that there are places all over Bangkok, how is that helpful?

I know that. Thanks, but I’m going to stop engaging now.

Id recommend you use a visa agent, a flight agent or go to 1 of the 2 airports
