Kind of related to a visa 🤷‍♂️.

I’ve been to Thailand 4 times this year so I don’t think I’m going to risk it again even with a visa not garenteed is it.

What’s Vietnam like people any good? Or Laos?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the experiences of traveling to Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. The original poster questions the safety of frequent travels to Thailand given their recent trips and expresses interest in Vietnam and Laos. Many commenters reassure them about entering Thailand, emphasizing the distinction between genuine tourists and those who exploit visa loopholes. There's also a sentiment shared that Vietnam may offer a better experience in terms of cleanliness and cost, while Laos has great potential for beautiful scenery and visa options. The conversation touches on visa regulations and travel tips, including multi-entry and e-visas for Thailand, and visa-on-arrival options for Laos.

You can get visa on arrival for Laos, think you have to apply for a Vietnamese visa.

Recommend Phu Quoc, the largest Vietnamese island

Go check out Da Nang - pretty nice. And yes, 4 trips is a stretch … they might turn you around

Thailand is fantastic, they are just enforcing their laws. Get a tourist visa, just like in Vietnam or Laos and you are fine

Vietnam is far much better than thailamd.cleaner cheaper n much more to see n do such places like Da Nang Na Trang n Phoc qouc. Minus less freelancers n less food to choose from less ppl speaking English n the Dong dollar is difficult but it's very place n it's very beautiful

I agree with you! For tourism, I think Vietnam is better than Thailand right now! In Thailand, in tourist areas, especially in high season, prices have become too high, too many tourists, and some of them are scum! Private facilities offer excellent service, but the country itself doesn't offer good service: poor electricity, disgusting and dirty roads, flooding after a 20-minute downpour, police trying to extort money from you, and if you have a problem with a local, even if you're right, the police will prove you wrong! Vietnam is cleaner, cheaper, less chaotic, and even in tourist areas, you can find a little beach where you're alone. Above all, the police don't bother you, and if a local causes you problems, they protect you.

You can apply for a multi entry Evisa through the Thai embassy in your home country

then as it’s pre-approved you can come & go for up to 6 months

may as well just go again if visa is irrelevant then, I’ve never been pulled out of line so that will be the warning I was on about.

I’ll leave it another 6 weeks before going will be nearly 8 week break out of Thailand by then.

Cheers Brandon

a tourist visa doesn't mean anything if immigration have decided you're not a tourist. Even people on multiple entry tourist visas have been pulled out of line, interrogated, and told it's their last entry as a tourist.

I’ve had no warnings from immigration yet if that’s even a thing they do

You can use our prescreening services, and ensure safe entry.

Also with laos you can extend twice for 30 days at immigration. I've done it while cycling there.

Vietnam and Laos are both beautiful. Well worth visiting.

If you have a British passport then you can stay in Vietnam for 45 days, visa free. But, you will need a visa for Laos.

You are a genuine tourist so will be fine

Sounds like you have no risk to worry about. The risk is not anywhere near as bad as what the Expat Facebook Visa Police in this group say. Unless you are doing border runs where you stay for 60 or 90 days and then leave for a few weeks and return and keep repeating it over and over again that's when you start to have a risk. You need to remember that the majority of people that come to Thailand don't follow this group and the people that do non stop border runs successfully don't post their success on her cause they have no need to. So you only hear the small minority of people who get refused entry and then freak out and join a group like this seeking help
