What should I do if my landlady won't register my TM30 on my ED Visa?

Hi,

I am on an ED Visa since the beginning of this month but my landlady is not able to register tm30. I asked for the necessary documents to do it myself but she thinks it's not necessary/ doesn't want to give me a copy of her yellow book.

What I have is a rental contract and her signed ID. I am not registered now for 4 days, what should I do? I have friends that could register me but they are not in the same province my school is in. Do I need to be registered where my school is or can I be registered anywhere? Can a TM30 be registered belated?

Thank you for your advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing difficulty in having their TM30 registration completed as their landlady refuses to provide necessary documents. They are seeking advice on whether they can register elsewhere and the implications of delayed registration.

You must be registered at the address where you stay.

Your landlady knows how to collect rent, so she knows how to register you. Visit your local Immigration Office, ask what is needed and the fines for not reporting foreigners at the property and hand that over to your land lady in stead of the rent.

Go go Thai Immigration and tell them your landlady will not file TM30.

Take your rental agreement...and her signed Thai ID card.

See what they say. The landlady is likely not reporting rental income on her Thai tax returns. So does not want to file TM30.
