What should I do about TM 30 registration if I haven't been registered at my current residence in Thailand?

Hi, re; TM 30. I have read a bit about this but feel asking would finally clear it up for me. Background: entered Thailand last January lived in Chiang Mai for 3 months, apartments always registered me with immigration.

Then I moved to Bangkok with now girlfriend and live in her apartment in a building her Mom owns. I was never registered with immigration at this address (9 months now) but always put it on visa applications (single-entry tourist) and current ED visa.

They never asked about a TM 30 at any ports of entry and it has never come up. Do you think this will become an issue and if so any advice on how i can get it sorted? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the TM 30 registration, expressing concern since they have not been registered at their current residence in Bangkok despite living there for 9 months. They mentioned that they were registered at another location in Chiang Mai and provided details about their visas (single-entry tourist and ED visa). Comments from the community highlighted that while the TM 30 is technically required for foreigners staying in private homes, it seems enforcement may vary, especially in Bangkok where some users reported not facing issues for not filing it. Users suggested that the owner of the property needs to complete the TM 30 online but noted it could be complicated without proper documentation. There are mixed opinions on whether not filing will cause long-term issues regarding visa extensions or fines.

I have an ed visa too. The private house owner will need to update ur stay online and u'll need to ask him/her to print out the copy for u. Bring it to immigration, update it and bring back to school for validation. The school will request for the small paper slip that immigration has stamped.

Just did the TM30, lots of hassle to get it in - second time Iยดm staying with my girfriend here at various locations.

It will quite likely work just fine staying in private homes without sending it in, but also seems that some actually get fined the 1600 baht for not reporting...

I prefer to have a clean track record if possible, it should actually be sent inside of 24 hours when staying in private homes - but getting it in can be complicated if the owner does not have the deed for the property etc, etc...

That has NOTHING to do with the TM.30 (Alien in Residence) form :/

That's your paper that states when your first 90 day reporting is and for that you use form TM.47

So i guess they won't be bothered with it if one is using Tourist Visa. But any temporary stay visas like ED require u to report ..

The Bangkok Immigration office doesn't care if you or the owner of where you stay has filed a TM.30.

The obligation may in theory be on the landlord, but if you can't get a visa extension because you(r landlord) haven't filed one, you might not be feeling so smug. In BKK, this apparently isn't an issue. In CM, however, it is

I would, but I'm not going to bother doing it, hasn't been an issue thus far. I thought it was a big deal but seems it's not plus the obligation is on the "landlord" and I have mentioned it twice already and nothing has been done, knowing they are registered on the online system as they rent a few rooms on booking dot com.

, I think you're gonna find the immigration office will want the thai i/d card of the owner, the blue house book of the owner, your lease agreement and maybe some other documentation too to let you do a TM.30 in Bangkok.

I would say, just ignore it, because the bangkok immigration office doesn't care about it at this time.
