What happens if my landlord doesn't submit the TM30 on time for my 90-day report in Thailand?

Hello everyone I just need some clarity on something. I’ve recently moved to a new place and my 90 day check in was on the 16th of August. Unfortunately, when I went to Chaeng Wattana today and they wouldn’t allow me to do the check in until the owner does the TM. 30 which I’ve already requested over a week ago but they haven’t done it yet. She kept saying I have 7 days(but I’m not sure what that means).

My question is will I still have to pay the fine of 2000 baht if the owner doesn’t do it in time?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification regarding their 90-day check-in process in Thailand after recently moving. They faced issues due to their landlord not submitting the TM30 form, which is required for the check-in. Comments clarify that if the TM30 isn't submitted on time, they may face a 2000 baht fine unless they report within 7 days after the due date. Additionally, it's suggested that the user can self-report their TM30 if they have the necessary documents, such as their lease agreement.

Technically it's the landlord who would be fined but it's you who will pay. Welcome to Thailand.

right. if your TM30 is not submitted within the time and you try to report 90 days after that, you will be fined 2000 baht.

you have 7 days after due date to do 90-day report in person at the immigration office without being fined for late report. you can ask your landlord to submit TM30 immediately, or you can do “self-report TM30” at CW if you have lease agreement, etc.

2000B is the fine for late filing of a 90 day report, the TM30 late filing fine is usually 800 or 1600B

, that’s right. I think OP is asking about the fine for not being able to report 90 days on time.
