what about the Thai tax issues on transferring money from overseas into Thailand ?

Hopefully they will correct the software problem with their last December update. I have been doing my online TM 47 for many years but failed last month. Reason given was that my passport number had changed since my last entry into Thailand !! That was more than ten years ago !! Of course I renewed my passport and JOMTIEN Immigration transferred all the appropriate information in their records and my new passport. No changes to any details. TM 30 completed many years ago. Again no changes. TIT.

not sure about your suggestion. My TM 30 form was manually completed in 2019 using my current passport number. So there should already be match in the imm system. I do have my house book.

many years ago I manually did my first TM30 form at the Imm office. They cut off the bottom of the approval and stapled it into my passport. Since then my detailed have never changed. Are you suggesting I should now do an on line TM 30 ?

in my 20 year experience living permanently in Thailand you cannot be seen to be taking any work off a Thai person. Therefore you can be reported for doing building or renovations on your own property. Remember as a foreigner you do not personally own the land on which you live.

Yes. Non Thais cannot buy land and cannot do work without a permit even volunteering.

I am aware of all that. I was a professional accountant in Australia. Both my super funds are from my times with State and Federal governments and both are tax exempt. No other assets in Australia except savings account. Any income is below the tax free threshold anyway.
