 Yes he was also told in March 2024 there is no 30 day visa. He is not a wise traveller yet :)

At this stage continue thinking 60 days when you arrive, May 1 has nothing to do with the number of days you get. IF it goes back to 30 in the future then go to immigration and get 30 days extension for 1900baht.

 tourist visa are 60days it's the TR60, yes still only single entry unless they get the METV
