just saw someone mention previously the school may be able to give you a sort of special extension whilst waiting for ed visa completion, but doesn't seem like I thing so I'm in their hands🤷♂️
another 200 for bus back. Depending on where you wanna stay can be another few hundred to your hotel or into middle of the city. Obviously there are minor expenses also such as bus across the bridge for 30 baht, food, alcohol etc, they do have a very nice market along the beach, so best to see it as a nice day out that's what I did, takes away the stress of border runs. Immigration is extremely friendly from what I experienced.
I just got back from a border run yesterday. 3000 baht return flight to Udon Thani, 200 baht to border, 1700 baht Laos visa, stayed in hotel for 300 baht, came back the next day back into Thailand no issues. I'd recommend it highly above Cambodia, I had a terrible experience at poi pet previously.
well I appreciate your help, I saw your previous comment, I would hope if they make you buy a ticket to your home country they don't force you to take it🤣 and it's just to show you will leave after a certain date.
I suppose the worst that can happen is they put me back on a flight to Laos, I stay a few nights and fly back again? However I have only been here 75 days, and prior to that I was here 4 years ago.
thanks Brandon, I haven't started submitting anything as of yet, just have a school I have been talking to, negotiated price etc and I will start the submission once I return from Laos. I haven't been in Thailand since 2019, so in that case I will assume it's a safe bet doing a same day fly out fly in, as long as I stamp into Laos aswell.
I have been here for 45 days + 30 day extension at the immigration office. I am currently in the process of starting a educational visa, so I want to get another quick 30 days exempt whilst I sort it out.
I stayed in 2019 for 6 months, did a few border runs, this shouldn't affect it? 4 years ago lol. However when I first came in they did ask me more questions than others, but should be fine flying in, I understand that going by land you are alot more likely to get refused
it's been a while since I did these visa runs, thank you I had forgotten about this point lol.. if i am going to be getting a educational visa then I think another 30 day exemption is probably easiest, I have only entered Thailand once so far this calendar year.
I have already extended at immigration unfortunately, my current idea is just to fly to Vientiane in Laos and fly back the same day, what do you think? Easy another 30 days over air so less hassle. Have lunch in Laos and come back in time for dinner in Bangkok.
