Can I obtain a 60-day tourist visa through an agency or on the same day while on a visa exemption in Thailand?

Hi guys, I am currently on my 30 day visa exempt extension. I am looking for some recommendations for agencies to do a Bangkok to Cambodia same day boarder run for a 60 day tourist visa. If I am on visa exemption is there any way of getting a tourist visa at the embassy? Or a agency that can get this sorted without needing to go to the boarder?. My plan is next month to study, so I will eventually be changing my tourist visa to a educational visa of which I have school in mind (awaiting school term to open) I need a 60 day tourist visa in the meantime.

Only related helpful answers please, thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 30-day visa exempt extension in Thailand and seeks recommendations for agencies that can facilitate a same-day border run to Cambodia for a 60-day tourist visa. They inquire about alternative options to acquire this visa without a border run or through the embassy. Responses indicate that obtaining a tourist visa on the same day is not possible; typically, a visa run requires several days. It is suggested that the individual might not need a tourist visa if they are transitioning to an educational visa soon.

You cant get a same day tourist visa, minimum is next working day pick up and Cambodia is 2 working days pick-up

It’ll take at 2-5 days for a tourist visa just extend your stamp for 30 more days at immigration 1900 baht

If you are going to do an Ed visa then you better register for classes now. It is a 3.month wait.

Maybe for specific schools, not for all, I have multiple universities ready to accept, however do not have enough time to start the process as my visa runs out in 10 days.

If you are going to have an education visa next month you don't need a tourist visa just go to the border. You don't need an agent just take the train from Bangkok

Have you got the 30 day extension at immigration yet?

"Thai visa service", it's about 10-11hr day though. You have to go to the border and you'll get a 30 day visa exempt stamp, not a visa which is a longer process as Brandon said.

land is a lot safer. You'll be fine tho. It's people who stay here for 6+ months or stayed here for many months to years during covid with covid stamps that have issues. You haven't been here in years so no issue.

I have already extended at immigration unfortunately, my current idea is just to fly to Vientiane in Laos and fly back the same day, what do you think? Easy another 30 days over air so less hassle. Have lunch in Laos and come back in time for dinner in Bangkok.

if you don't have a recent history of staying in Thailand (other than this 30+30), then it's a good option. The bus ride is painful, flying is much much better

I stayed in 2019 for 6 months, did a few border runs, this shouldn't affect it? 4 years ago lol. However when I first came in they did ask me more questions than others, but should be fine flying in, I understand that going by land you are alot more likely to get refused

if you use an agency to go by land they won't take you unless they can get you back

You cannot do a border run and get a tourist visa.

You need to do a visa run, and it will take you at least a couple of days. There's not a single place in SE Asia where you can get a visa in a single day.

I believe most of the agencies in Bangkok that do visa runs go to Laos, not Cambodia, as both of the Thai consulates in Laos are on the border but the one in Cambodia is not.

it's been a while since I did these visa runs, thank you I had forgotten about this point lol.. if i am going to be getting a educational visa then I think another 30 day exemption is probably easiest, I have only entered Thailand once so far this calendar year.

shouldn't be an issue to do visa exempt then on a simple border bounce.
