TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on various options for border runs from Bangkok, primarily seeking the cheapest alternatives. Participants mentioned costs for different border runs, with some suggesting flights to neighboring countries like Malaysia or Vietnam as cost-effective solutions. Specific prices for trips to Cambodia and Laos were shared, indicating a range from 3000 to 4000 baht for round trips, along with additional costs for visas and accommodations. Recommendations included considering excellent travel experiences and friendly immigration processes in Laos compared to Cambodia.
Day return flight to KL is under B4000. Quick and easy.

I just got back from a border run yesterday. 3000 baht return flight to Udon Thani, 200 baht to border, 1700 baht Laos visa, stayed in hotel for 300 baht, came back the next day back into Thailand no issues. I'd recommend it highly above Cambodia, I had a terrible experience at poi pet previously.
another 200 for bus back. Depending on where you wanna stay can be another few hundred to your hotel or into middle of the city. Obviously there are minor expenses also such as bus across the bridge for 30 baht, food, alcohol etc, they do have a very nice market along the beach, so best to see it as a nice day out that's what I did, takes away the stress of border runs. Immigration is extremely friendly from what I experienced.
okay amazing Leo thank you for letting me know !!!

For this kind of money I would fly over to da nang, Vietnam and enjoy a few days there. Good food, fresh air, lovely people and very cheap and good hotels!
