Just went to Revenue Department last week. If you stay more than 180 days a year, you need to do the tax return and pay taxes for all the money you remit to Thailand that you earned after first of January of 2024...

Many people will not pay taxes, but they're disobeying the law, so good luck for them.

Can you obtain Thai tax residency and file a tax return with a DTV visa?

Easy. If you stay longer than 180 days a year, you have to file taxes in Thailand. It doesn't matter if you have visa excemption and do border runs, if you have dtv or tourist visa. The law says more than 180 days a year.

Is Chiang Mai immigration open for TM39 on Saturdays?

Don't worry, you can do it on Monday, no problem. Also you can do it online by yourself via the TM30 official webpage, but you'll need the landlord permit to do it online.

Participante anónimo lease agreement and photocopy of your landlord ID. Also your passport.

I use the driving license and usually they didn't register me. Maybe they register the license number, I don't know.

Also, the TM30 is easy to fill using the internet web page and can do it by yourself (with the approval of your landlord of course)

Yes, I updated by myself, just go to immigration. Also if you have a thai driving license you can use it in the hotels instead of passport and sometimes you don't need to file TM30 more times.
