Thanks for the tip, I don't have calling on my current sim card but I will try to email them as Air Asia is the airline we were looking at!

We will be going through immigration in Chiang Mai as we purchased straight through tickets from CM to Denpasar. I appreciate the warning/information as it is always helpful as we do plan to come back to Thailand in the months to come

We would be flying from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and Bangkok to Indonesia. Chiang Mai at 11:30 pm the 27th then after flying and a layover it would be 4am on the 28th before we technically leave the country...

Sorry my question wasn't clear. I was meaning to ask about mail in visa application while still in the US before flying to Thailand.

Can you post or send me a link with info about what you said above regarding working for your home country online while in thailand and it not being an issue with their government. I was under the impression that if you were going to work online while in thailand that you would need a work visa even if the work is only for/related to the US. Just want to cover my basis as im exploring my options as well.

That makes sense. When you go in person like that is it a quick turn around?
