I stopped at the Flipper hotel a few years ago-It was not 4//5 star . But it was clean /Situated conveniently to all the local sites . If you want to move a bit further along Jomtiem is a little less busy /Cheaper possibly ?

I usually take 100 pounds of bahts from my local bureau de change .The rest can be dealt with at the Superrich branch,s in Thailand .
