Depending if you done online then went in person it can take 2 weeks if you pay for it to be "fast tracked" but usually it is around 6-8 weeks

if you work in business that requires lots of visas you can get a 2nd British passport I have 2 because work on ships and offshoreDavid *******

I am a contractor as well had two different companies write me letters for passport office

Mine took 8 weeks, but Christmas was inbetween, we we warned of 6 to 8 weeks because of covid delay, check when you apply

They say to allow for 6 weeks, but in reality it’s normally around 2 weeks. You apply through VFS, Trendy building, Soi 13 Sukhumvit.
