Thailand pass is something that is starting from . You will need it to enter, it does say you will need to apply (online) at least 7 days before your flight. Just keep reading in this facebookgroup, no one knows what will happen with this Thai pass and if the system will work.

What kind of visa are you using? I used OOM insurance from the netherlands before, it works. I think its called 'temporary abroad' and you can tell its for Thailand so all the numbers match. Not that expensive either. The hotel is not that designated, you have options. Also close to the airport. If you booked a connecting flight right after landing at BKK you really didn't do your research which also explains why you haven't heard from the Thailand pass:).

an STV gives you a total of 3 x 90days so that is not something they give on arrival. Sorry for your friends.
