Hi Friends! Under the 'everything else'. I just got my Thai motorcycle driver's license, bought a motorcycle, ready to hit the road!

Looking for a good private motorbike insurance, big bike, type1 most comprehensive coverage (if I read it right). Maybe something with an app on the phone, English speaking helpdesk, that sort of thing.

Still waiting for my license plates though. If I understood correctly I can use the document they gave me with the framenumber etc.

Any do's and dont's that I should know about?

Much appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks recommendations for private motorbike insurance in Thailand, specifically for a big bike with comprehensive coverage and English-speaking support. They have received advice on options including Roojai.com and MisterPrakan but face limitations based on their area. The discussion also touched on differences between motorbike and car licenses, the insurance process, and potential costs.

Options are quite limited for a big bike. I think Viriyah and Roojai offers it.

I have read through this a while back but thank you. I went for an option via MisterPrakan in the end. They are quick with replying, good in English. Good 3rd party insurance up to 10M baht and personal to some extend, I think its 200k per accident. Not many offer 1+ right now it seems. I will still have a look at the companies you mention, thanks again!

Big bike 1st class insurance - first year I payed 14k baht + compulsory insurance. Switched to Roojai then - probably half the price what you would pay for with other insurance companies.

Everything is done online via the Roojai mobile app -even the first bike inspection via mobil app cam.

Not sure if you can insure it without having the proper license plate first though.

Thanks for the info Klaus. The Roojai looks like a good pick, nice website but they dont seem to insure people in my area code. Something is blocking the quote at least. Will try to reach out to them.
