DTV is in the same category (tourist) but it is a different visa type

Write the embassy where you applied to an E-Mail or write them on Line (the embassy in Cambodia has a Line account and other embassies might have one too) and ask them, how it could be that you got approved for a Visa you didn't apply to? You applied for DTV, they can't just convert the Visa, but you can ask them that too. Mistakes can happen everywhere, but don't say: you made a mistake, just ask questions and be polite. Good luck

I applied for the 2 month Tourist Visa, before they changed it. Back then the processing was not finished when I arrived in Bangkok. I got the Visa on arrival while still waiting for the other Visa. This other Visa was valid for 2 or 3 months, so I used it at a later time when I did a border run. I didn't have any complications, but I also didn't need to upload other documents

I had the situation where I needed a certificate of residence after a border run. In the Immigration in Phuket Town, they said that I need the TM30 again after reentering the country, but in the end it was sufficient to show them the contract of my apartment.

I asked at Krung Thai Bank in Phuket and the woman who served me hadn't even heard of the Destination Thailand Visa. So I think it will take some time and will be accepted by some banks eventually. But nobody knows how long it will take. Since I do a language course with the Education Visa at the moment, it was possible to open a bank account at Krung Thai, I opened it just last week. Other banks like Krungsri, Kasikorn and Siam Commercial refused the Education Visa. Except Krung Thai, only the Government Savings Bank said they would accept the Educational Visa. With Krung Thai I had to choose a package with insurance though, which is 2,6k Baht per year but after the first year, it will be possible to change this package to the Standard Mastercard which is just 200 Baht per year.
