where is the difference? Contribution to economy.

Thai society/culture is also much more closed making it difficult to integrate, even if you know the language. Great for tourists but a lot more challenging for people staying long term.

very big difference between unfiltered (illegal) mass immigration from third world countries and relatively limited legal immigration from first world country "expats".
