ahhhh interesting. Yep, they don't like it. That's the thing I find with Thai immigration. Every office is different and even within that some are just nicer, more lenient. But others... Steer clear. In fact drive 50 km out of your way to the next one has been the advise I have been given previously because some are just downright mean! 🙈
We started on tourist visas then moved to more long term. They just don't like tourists circumventing the system.
thank you. Yes it does look the best. We are looking at three individual visas for our family so we're working out the funds and who needs what. Bloody minefield. 😂
thank you for the speedy advice. You always give such great answers. LTR it is then. 🙏🙏
Just wish I could get my 22 year old son on it. I have a 16 year old daughter too. She's fine but will get my boy a Muay Thai one instead. Ahhh Thai immigration. It's never boring 😅🙈. Thanks again.
this is what scares me about this visa.... I'm think LTR is going to be better long term. Or even retirement non-o. Just not DTV because it's seen as a tourist visa. And we all know how banks feel about tourists 🙈.
ah how wonderful 🎉. Japan is awesome. We've been to Tokyo before and Kagura to go skiing but the kids haven't been so it would really be for them to see it. Our daughter loves the idea. She's been learning Japanese online over the past year so it will be nice to put it into practice. Be great to see South Korea too ❤️. Have you been living there long?
thank you. I've had that "under consideration" before. It was fine. But yep. We could border bounce every 6 months. The kids have been to Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam when we lived there last time. But now they want to do Japan, and South Korea. Could be a good reason to go.
thank you for explaining that. Sorry for all the questions but it's good to fully understand these things before applying. Then I know what we're getting into. We're going to do our whole family so it's a fair investment and we're just looking at all the options. I appreciate you taking time to explain it thoroughly. :-)
Anonymous participant 154 Ah I see. Ok that makes sense. So theoretically people can just keep leaving the country every six months and continually renew their visa without having to show the cash. Is that what you mean?
Ok thank you. So when you get the visa, I thought you could renew in country at the 6 month mark at an Immigration Office and then at the 12 month mark you have to do a border bounce. Is not not true?
