Not sure which visa you are looking at. I just did an LTR retirement visa (5+5 years) from my home country, no agents involved. It required a lot of paperwork to be submitted, but really not very difficult. It took less than a month to get the approval and then I got an eVisa from my home country (USA) embassy.
