did you try to expedite the services with by greasing the palms. this is how thiings work in cambodia in my experience. they sit on things to try and get you to use the "express" route

i got an edvisa done in laos about 4-5 yrs ago but didnt finish out the visa. i am going after learning again and hoping to continue..so they said better there, but prob not a big deal

I have been to immigration and consulate offices that have decided to close down for whatever reason. There are always surprises. Some in other ctrys practice the local holidays as well. Just covering my bases. Thks

Thks for the insight Steve. I don't want any friction. That's for sure. This will be my first one in a bit so maybe they won't ask me any questions. If I go to vietnam. I will prob go to Hanoi. I got a tourist visa there before and it was pretty chill.

Yea. I just would rather visit another place. Thks for the advice. Yea. I know where to get USD in Hanoi as I have received a tourist visa there before. Just didn't know if Ed visa was any trouble.
