I got my letter from the MOE for an edvisa. I am going to Phnom Penh to apply for the visa. My question is , is it better/easier to fly back into Suv, or Don Mueang? or Would it really matter since I "should" have my first 90 day visa by then? Thks for any insight !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The choice between flying back into Suvarnabhumi (Suv) or Don Mueang airport is not critical since the traveler will have a valid 90-day Non-Immigrant Type ED visa. Suggestions lean towards Don Mueang for its lower airfare and quicker passport control. However, concerns arise regarding the Thai consulate in Phnom Penh's efficiency, with alternatives like Vientiane noted for being more user-friendly. Laos is recommended as a potentially easier option for visa processing.

I just got my Ed visa from Laos a week ago. I flew into Don Mueang airport because the airfare was 1000 baht cheaper to fly there then Suv.

Don Mueang is a smaller airport and I got through passport control much faster then it usually takes at SUV.

Don Mueang also has buses that take you to the sky train for 30 baht.

Good Luck!!

Vientiane would be a much better and faster option

common theme with anything in Cambodia. Most of the time I found out they just we're waiting around for more $

We all were trying whatever we could to get it expedited. They simply didn't care...not sure what the deal was. If you look through past posts, it's a common theme at PP.

did you try to expedite the services with by greasing the palms. this is how thiings work in cambodia in my experience. they sit on things to try and get you to use the "express" route

BTW, I decided to not wait around for the week but had to have the school re-do the paperwork as it was specific (somehow) to PP. So, if you do go to Laos, make sure the school is aware.

Pp was horrible for my ed visa. They told me it would take a week. Others were there for non-b (work) and told the same. They really don't care there and I would advise against using this office. If you do go, know that it won't be the next day turn-around like it is in Laos. How long seems to depend on their mood.

shouldn't matter one bit as you're coming in with a valid 90 day single entry Non-Immigrant Type ED visa in your passport.

You sure you wanna use the thai consulate in Phnom Penh? Did your school say it was okay to go there? They are NOT known to be the most user friendly thai consulate in S/E Asia. Also they have a 3 day turn around on getting your passport back so you're gonna be in Cambodia a few days.
